Ardbeg 24yo TBWC Bottling Note

Very yummy Ardbeg single malt, matured for 24 years before being bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! Indie Ardbeg bottlings are always an exciting thing to see, especially when they're particularly well-aged, like this one right here. The label sees Geert Bero, Ardbeg collector and proprietor of the legendary Ardbeg Bar at Hotel Bero, admiring the stills of Ardbeg...

Batch 16 is a release of 182 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Through smoked sea salt and rockpool notes comes old leather and sandalwood as well as black cherry, Refreshers sweeties and loads of vanilla softness. Thick lumps of fresh-dug peat provide an earthy smoke throughout.

Palate: Beach bonfire, bitter woods, gentian and plenty of meaty chorizo and biltong are balanced beautifully against sweet black fruit, conference pears and plenty of buttery biscuit and rich nuttiness.

Finish: A medicinal, menthol note lingers among charred smoke and cockles.

Overall: Pure Ardbeg pleasure in every drop. Savour it.
