Boozy Cocktails to Make on New Years

December marks the start of celebration and partying. With X-mas and the New Year down the line, we are sure to bother our heads with some fun and unique cocktail ideas. Traditional recipes can come to our rescue for Christmas celebrations but for New Years we need something different every time.
New Years Party cannot happen without some exciting drinks and cocktails. If you are planning to host a New Years Party and are looking for some exciting cocktails to prepare, here you go with Boozy Cocktails to Make this New Years.

#1 Avartini

This bright blue cocktail will serve two purposes – first, to serve tasty drink and second in decoration for your party. Nothing will be more attractive than bright blue glasses arranged along with some decoration.

This drink combines the sweetness of vodka and Curacao with the taste of sprite. Don’t worry, it is not syrupy.

Ingredients

Blueberry Vodka (1 ½ ounce)
Blue Curacao (1/2 ounce)
Sprite (5 ounces)

Procedure

Take a cocktail shaker and add ice and the other ingredients. Shake the contents till they chill and serve in a margarita glass topping it with sprite.

 

 #2 Espresso Old Fashioned

This one is perfect for the lovers of both coffee and whiskey. It has the smooth finish of the Rhetoric Bourbon along with the familiar taste of espresso and sweet taste of the simple syrup.

Ingredients

Double shot espresso (1, about 2 oz. at room temperature)
Rhetoric Bourbon or Rye Whiskey (1 oz.)
Simple syrup (0.25 oz.)
Peychaud’s bitters – a dash
Lemon Peel (11 inches, for garnishing and rimming)

Procedure

In a shaker, put in ice, espresso, whiskey, syrup, and bitters and stir it with a bar spoon for about half a minute. Then strain it to a glass filled with ice. Twist the lemon peel on the drink and rim the glass with the same. Garnish with lemon peel if required.

#3 German Cherry Beer

This is one of the simplest beers to make, but your guests will surely like it.

Ingredients

Wheat Beer or Hefeweizen (12 ounces)
½ cup cherry juice

Procedure

In a 16-ounce glass, pour cherry juice. Add Beer to it, put some ice on the top and garnish it with a few cherries(optional).

#4 Sparkling Julep

Both Mint Julep and bubbly are classics when it comes to drinks. How about combining them to enjoy both at the same time?

Ingredients

Champagne or dry sparkling wine (2 ounces)
Cognac (1/2 ounce)
Angostura or any other dash bitter (1 no’s)
Simple Syrup (3/4 ounce)
Mint Leaves (6 no’s), in addition, sprigs for serving
Lemon Twist (for garnishing)

Procedure

Mix Mint leaves and simple syrup in a rocks glass and adds cognac, champagne, and the bitters into it. Put in crushed glass up to half the glass and gently stir to combine the ingredients. Top with crushed ice and garnish with lemon twist and mint sprigs.

#5 Johnnie Ginger

This brings in the perfect combination of the spicy and earthy taste of ginger ale along with the satisfying finish of Johnnie Walker Diamond Jubilee. This one is the perfect long drink for casual get together parties.

Ingredients

Johnnie Walker Diamond Jubilee (25 ml)
Ginger Ale (75 ml)
Lime (Squeezed, ¼ shot)
Slice of ginger (for garnishing)

Procedure

Add ice cubes to a serving tall glass and add Johnnie Walker. Then add the lime juice and ginger ale, filling the glass to the top. Garnish with ginger slices.

#6 Stone Fruit Pale Ale

Here, we shall find the green apple taste of Clyde mays bourbon along with the fresh citrus essence and apricot liqueur. This one of perfect for those lazy winter days.

Ingredients

Clyde May’s Bourbon (1 ½ oz.)
Apricot Liqueur (¾ oz.)
Lemon juice (1/2 oz.)
Simple Syrup (1/2 oz.)
Organic Pale Ale (2 oz.)

Procedure

Stir all the ingredients except pale ale with ice in a tall glass. Then put in the pale ale and stir to mix pale ale thoroughly.

#7 Hurricane Dragon

Amidst the whiskeys and beers, here is a Dragon brandy cocktail. This combines the fresh sweet taste of mango, ginger, and grenadine, this is the one for brandy lovers.

Ingredients

Mango juice (1 1/5 oz.)
Dragon Brandy (2 oz.)
Mashed fresh ginger (1 teaspoon)
Sugar (1 teaspoon)
A splash of lime juice, grenadine, tonic water
Slice of ginger root (for garnishing)

Procedure

Mix ginger root with sugar and then add lemon juice, mango juice, and Cognac. Shake it thoroughly and strain it over the ice in a tall glass until it is three-quarters full. Add grenadine, tonic water. Then garnish it with ginger root.

#8 Pink Life

If you have ladies coming over to your party, this one is perfect to impress them. This one comes with the sweetness of raspberry liqueur along with the taste of D'usse.

Ingredients

D’usse (20 ml)
Raspberry Liqueur (10 ml)
Champagne(90ml)
Fresh Raspberry (1 pc)

Procedure

Put the cognac and raspberry liqueur into a flute glass and top it champagne. (You may also use champagne at room temperature and use ice to make it cold).

#9 New York Sour Cocktail

This whiskey variation is special, thanks to the red wine used.

Ingredients

Whiskey 6 or Bourbon (2 oz.)
Lemon Juice (1 oz.)
Simple syrup (combination of equal parts of water and sugar) (3/4 oz)
Red Wine (1/2 oz.)

Procedure

In a shaker, add all the ingredients except wine and fill it with ice. Shake it thoroughly and strain it into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Now, pour the wine slowly so that it floats on the drink.
